The National Theatre is situated in Phra Nakhon District of Bangkok, close to the Bangkok National Museum. The theatre opened its doors for visitors in 1965.
The theater is most famous for traditional shows, particularly the Khon mask dance, classical Thai dramas and musical performances. Khon performances narrate tales from Ramakien, with masked dancers portraying demons, creatures from other worlds, and monkey gods.
On the first Saturday and Sunday of each month at 1:30 and 5 p.m., the Thai National Theater shows Khon. And on the last Friday of each month at 5 p.m. they show lakhon, another type of Thai classical dance drama.

CONCLUSION
The Khon show here is very affordable, only 100 baht to 200 baht. A great place to experience Thai art. The show is quite long, 2.5 hours, and you have to arrive before the show starts.
The performance is pretty grand, with all the costumes and live Thai music.
Not enough parking spaces for cars. Take a taxi.
